Course Syllabus

We have taken a curriculum based approach to our classes.  Students learn and retain more in our classes.  We teach new and relatively new initiates to be better loan officers.  Maryland's 40 Hour Loan Officer Pre-Licensing Course is designed to require loan officers to have a substantial understanding of federal and state laws related to the real estate finance profession.  We extend these requirements beyond just compliance, so that the time invested with us makes you better at your job, which means you close more loans.

QuickStart Benefits - Tailored For Adult Education

Small Class Sizes - usually no more than 20 people in a class

Sales Oriented Approach - We teach you how to use compliance requirements to build trust with borrowers and referral sources - close more loans.

Real Instructors - Seasoned loan officers are never unable to answer real world questions

Practical Training - Not lectures.  Students constantly are active in classroom activity, practical exercises, and real life scenarios.  Reinforced Learning - Knowledge is constantly tested with challenging, real life examinations.  Our students retain up to 94% of material delivered.

We have reviewed the curriculums of other companies.  They provide the minimum required training - "deliver the content."  Is it a problem when the instructor says "We just have to get through this?"

26 hours of Legal Training? We are NOT lawyers - we're loan officers...

Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act Laws

Truth-in-Lending Act Laws

Equal Credit Opportunity Act Laws

FANNIE/FREDDIE

Our research shows that seminar style learning - where listeners sit and hear - is less effective than practical classroom training where students participate in the process.  Students retain approximately 14 - 22% of seminar material.  Students retain approximately 82 -94% of the material taught in a classroom training environment.  As a consequence our curriculum is geared towards practical knowledge.

Course Methodology

Through classroom instruction teach fundamental math skills, products and programs, asset, debt and income qualification, federal and state laws. Teach the physical loan application process through drills, case studies and role-playing. Students receive daily written tests to verify progress and as an additional teaching tool.  Upon conclusion of the course and completion of all assignments and tests the student receives a certificate.
